Importing Files Saved with Roxio

I have ACT 9.0 (2007) and am trying to import some databases from ACT 5.0 that were saved using Roxio. They are burned onto a disc. ACT 9.0 doesn't seem to recognize them. Is there a way they can be imported?

Hi

Inaport for ACT can read ACT 5 & 6 databases, but you do need to have ACT 5 or 6 installed. If you do not need the notes, Inaport *might* be able to read some of the data as dBase files, without needing ACT installed.

Your best bet is probably to restore ACT 5, then use the ACT 9 import capabilites to get the data in. Inaport will gve you more flexibility if you need to be more selective about the data, or transform it in some way.

How did you save them?

Did you save all the ACT! 5 database files?

Copy them to a folder on the hard drive, make sure they are not read-only (CD's normally mark files as read only)

Then open.
