Importing Excel data

Hello everyone,

During the phase data import, the wizard informs me that the format or the file version is incompatible.
Yet I am using Excel 2007 (format. "XLSX") to be theoretically recognized by ACT! ?
Moreover, with the traditional format. "XLS", I get the same error message.

I said that I use one custom setting for the field mapping.

In advance thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Re: Importing Excel data

Hello EndenFall,

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Online Community!

Test the process by manually creating an Excel file with 1 or 2 lines of data, and attempt to import that.  If the manually created file is successful, it would appear to be something specific to your file and how it was created.

Re: Importing Excel data

Hello Greg,

I tested the solution you propose and the error message still appears.
Also, I did the same test with the data saved in "txt" and it works!
I confess I do not quite conprendre Why it does not accept the file format. "xls" or "xlsx"?

If I look in the help section of the software, it is indicated that the 13 version of Act! recognizes the format ". xlsx".
Reason why I do not understand why it says "Format or incompatible version"?

I said that my Excel 2007 and Act! are official versions...

Thank you for your help

Re: Importing Excel data

Can you create an Excel file on a different machine and then test importing it?

Or, import the same file into ACT! on a different computer?
