We are having some issues with an ACT! db not being able to import any lists, no matter the format (csv or xls). There are some other database errors also.
I created a new, blank database and imported the troubled db into it. It lost many fields, Calendar items, custom groups, and none of the opportunities are lined to the company anymore.
Is there a proper way to do the import to capture an exact copy of the old database?

Ok, still no luck after following the KB article.
This user is running ACT 2012, latest updates, with a single user account.
Windows 7, SP1, 64 Bit
No error messages after import
I started off by saving a blank copy of the source database. Then imported the user account. After that, I import the Comapnies, then opportunities, groups, then contacts, each is a seperate import.
Still getting the same results.
