Import Mapping not working

Import Mapping not working

Been trying for 2 hours to import contact data

 

Act 2011 HFX 6

Excel 2007

Windows 7

 

Data is not matching fields.

I correctly match fields, when I look at preview majority of fields showing incorrect data.

 

Tried

  • XLSX, XLS, CSV, Tab
  • Removedcommas
  • removedunneededfields ( data that I need to import to company table )
  • Checkedpreferences - matchingisenabled ( KBmentionedmaybecause )
  • Rebooted

 

Anything else??

Update also

 

  • Check and repair
  • Made copy of database
  • deleted preferences  - Act.UI.preferences.dll

still not working

Hi,

 

Have you checked whether it is problem with db or with csv... file,

step 1 take backup of your current db

step2 open demo DB export company record to excel or csv

step 3 import to your database and check if it import fine then it is problem only with your csv file

I rebuilt excel file, one field at a  time, took a bit but it finally worked
