I tried various times to install Act Pro 2011 on Vista 64 bit and very close to the end of the installation process (the scroll bar indicates "finalizing installation") a window pops up indicating "EMAIL CONVERTER HAS STOPPED WORKING". Any solution to overcome this problem?

Try disabling the Windows UAC function and attempt the install. Instructions for UAC are in this article: KB Article 20220
You may also need to reboot into 'Selective Startup' - instructions: KB Article 14173
- Has any other version of ACT! been installed on this computer?
- If you check the Windows Services, is the 'SQL Server (ACT7)' service present and started? Instructions: KB Article 28216

I encounter the exact same problem. I followed the recommendations without success. Did it work with the solution provided by Greg Martin? Thank you
