...because they often cause problems rather than solve them.
I updated my ACT!10 on both PC and laptop.
Now I have a Version 10.0.1.199 on my PC and a Version 10.0.3.182. Hotfix 1 on my laptop (where I also needed to convert the database to open it)
now obviously the nice sinchro between the two does not work anymore.
I have XP on both systems.
Does somebody have any idea what happens? Ironically both programs tell me that " I already have the latest version"

The program needs to be on the same build on both machines in order for synchronization to work. You will need to update your PC to 10.0.03, Hotfix 1 to match the version on your laptop.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

I know, that´s why I am asking you for help.
The Program on the pc keeps telling me that I already have the latest version. which is NOT true.

after I will be done with the ACT! 10.0.3 Standard Update (EU), do I need to dl and install also the ACT! Hot Fix 10.0.2.1?

but what about the hotfix ?
now the version on the PC is Version 10.0.3.182, on the laptop is Version 10.0.3.182 hotfix 1.

The hotfix will be released separately in the near future.
Since it does not effect the ability to share or sync a database, I would wait for it to be released.
Your other alternative is to uninstall the version that does not show the hotfix, and reinstall from full 10.0.3 that includes the hotfix.
