I can sense what the answer is already, but I might as well ask.

I will work backwards on this one.

Here's the 4 answers I think I will get:

A) You have to get the SDK and learn .Net (even though the best SDK is for version 10 and I have version 9).
B) You need to call a certified parter and pay money to them.
C) We don't have that feature available.
D) Submit a suggestion.

There's the answers!!!!

Now here's the question.

Microsoft has command line switches for example, in Outlook,  that allow the user to, for example,  command line switch /c ipm.note creates an e-mail message without running the full Outlook program.  Are there command line switches with ACT! that, say, open up the activity form without opening up ACT! ?

$5,000,000 tells me "no"  err I mean A, B, C, or D.

What functionality! ..err.. sorry.. I mean this is exactly what I paid for!

C and D... although it would be possible with A - there is really little difference in most parts of the SDK except for some extra functions added for 10
B would still need to A anyway

Mike,

Why does that not surprise me?  I finally figured out that ACT! company philosophy is K.I.S.S. "Keep the software simple stupid".

Although it really means "Keep it Cheap(little improvement year-to-year) and Keep it Harder for the Customer than it has to be--St_ _ _ _!"

Not really... no software product in the world does everything that every person wants. Not only would that mean they wouldn't need developers as there'd be no need for upgrades, it would also make a software product so hugely bloated it wouldn't run on any hardware currently available - which at least might make Intel and Kingston happy. The power of the SDK means features that while not having the demand from enough of the user base to make it into the product ahead of other priorities can be added if needed
