We have a server based database with remote databases.
We bought in an address list for mail shots several years ago. The address list was imported and created thousands on Contact records.
They proved pretty useless but are clogging up the database.
I would like to hide them so they don't appear in views all the time, or better still archive them somewhere.
We (the sales team and I) are not very tech savvy and generally view all our records in Contact List view - I would like to hide the 3,000 contact records we added.
How do I do this?
Thank you all.
Server is Windows SBS 2003
PC's are all running Windows 7 or 8

You could use teams to hide the contacts since you have the premium version
Or you could create a copy of the existing database as your archive database then in the live database delete the 3,000 records. This means you can always get to the contacts if needed.
The 3rd way would be to create an empty copy and then export the 3,000 contacts into the empty copy this means you would only have the archived contacts in the database and then delete the 3,000 records from the live database.
