How to have ACT open up the way you want it to

Not sure how this is happening, but I upgraded from ACT 2008 running on XP to ACT 2010 running on Win 7. When I open up act for it opens up to my layout but the bottom panel defaults to "Notes" and I don't want this. For example how can I make the default way that it opens to my layout with "history" open on the bottom panel?

Thanks

Re: How to have ACT open up the way you want it to

Hello,

When opening in the contact detail view, the program is designed to display the first tab in the tab row, which is by default Notes. To have it display History, you will need to make the History tab the first tab in the row:

- Go to Tools/Design Layouts/Contacts

- In the designer, go to Edit/Tabs

- Move the History tab to the top

- Click OK and save the layout

- Close and reopen ACT! to test

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
