I had trouble last night setting up the email part of Act! 2010, turns out the port is set on 587 with my hosting provider.
I guess I have to change the email client being used, but how do I do that?
If I go to tools > preferences > Email the only option is to tick or untick internet mail, wouldn't the details being entered into the incoming and outgoing fields be the same anyway?

You cannot change the email port and use ACT internet email. There are no configuration settings within ACT to do so. You would need to use Outlook, where this can be changed.

Thanks, I don't have outlook it seems, the version of Microsoft Office I have doesn't include it and they offer no trial to test and see if it will work correctly for me.
Are there any other Email Clients I could try?
