How to auto assign contacts/ companies to sales people??

I've just purchased and installed Act! Pro version 16 on my server. Finally got Act and my SQL server to play nice together and got down to importing my database from Excel. Oops, had to go out and purchase Excel so that Act could finally bring in my excel spreadsheet. Finally got that done and proceeded to import my database. Success!! I got it imported, mapped and shared. Got around to setting up the users and am now stumped about how to assign all 5000+ customers to my salespeople. Is there a way that I can bulk assign my customers by state to my salesguys? What is the best way to go about accomplishing this? I really don't need one salesguy having access to anothers territory, let alone being able to view it. There are articles listed on this site, but direct me to Sage and Sage doesn't list those articles anymore. Suggestions for an Act newbie? Thank you

Bump for the off of vacation crowd. Any suggestions on how to do this?
