I want to be able to import a spreadsheet of contacts, and automatically have them added to an existing group. The group is not a dynamic group, just static. Is there a way to list a group name in a column of the spreadsheet, before import, that will cause that to happen? Is there some other way to do it?
I was importing that retrieving records that changed, but I don't want that to include records that may have been changed during a given day -- by someone else. Help?

Unfortunately the only way to automatically assign contacts to a group is by setting up groups dynamically.
Setup the groups dynamically to look at one of the contact's user fields. Then add a group name column in the spreadsheet and map that to a user field.
If you don't want to setup dynamic groups, you can import group name column to a user field, lookup that field and mass add the contacts to the group.
