I am using ACT 16 with a Shared Database. I have it installed on Windows 7.
I am wanting to un-install ACT, but may want to re-install in the future. What would be the best way to go about doing this? I have a backup of the ACT database that i use on an External Hard Drive. Since this is a shared Database, I am going to delete it from the other computer as well. I don't know if this is important, but i do not have a disk to install from. I received a link to download it from online. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi DemetriaB ...
It is not perfectly clear about what you have and the use of an external drive; however, the best way to make a backup that can be easily restored is to use the backup that is included with ACT.
it is located under "File".
It will create a ZIP file.
Make sure you check the box to keep the attachments.
When you go to re-install ACT, you will select the option to Install As and give it a new name.
Hope this helps.
