How do I transfer the ACT 10 data file to my new desktop PC?

Hi Folks.. I'm moving my ACT 10 software from my Dell notebook onto a new desktop PC.  I've correctly installed the software onto the new PC.  Do I export it from the old notebook and import it to the new one??  I know tehre's a special way to do this but I can't find it in the manual.   I've only been an ACT user for the past 6 weeks.   I'm about to upgrade to ACT 11.  Should I transfer the data first or upgrade first? Greg

To move a database, you need to backup and restore as.

For detailed instructions, see this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/4rjrzm

I'd pobably install 11 on the new PC first - it will restore and convert it for you.
