How do I auto populate the Date Entered field?

I sometimes forget to enter this field when opening up a new contact screen, especially when busy. Is there a way to auto populate this and other fields?

Which Date Entered field?
ACT! has "Edited Date" and "Create Date" fields that are auto-populated

Re: How do I auto populate the Date Entered field?

It is called a "Entered" field but it does not auto populate, I have to click a drop down menu everytime I create a new date and set pick the Today date. The problem is that I have many contacts I create on the fly and forget to take this step.

It sounds like you've created your own field when ACT! already has such a field built in.

It would be there (can't be removed)... you may need to re-add it to the Layout

How do I do that or what should I search for in HELP in order to re-add it to the Layout?
