How do I add fields of contact "record type" in an opportunity report?

I tried creating a subreport, but I cannot add contact fields, only fields from the opportunity record..

I see.  So I need to use a contact-based report to create an opportunity report that has a contact field in it (such as lead source).  Not intuitive, but it works, so I am happy.  Thanks!

The only contact fields available in an opportunity based report are Company and Contact.

I see.  So I need to use a contact-based report to create an opportunity report that has a contact field in it (such as lead source).  Not intuitive, but it works, so I am happy.  Thanks!

How can we create an opportunity report that also includes lead source from a standarized list of lead sources? We added a lead source drop down field on the main contact window but can't figure out how to include that in an opportunity report. Thoughts?
