Yeh that wont work for this issue but thanks.
Every time a Recruiter has a Job Opening to fill, he must create a New Opp with a New Product Name and Product Item#. Ideally the Item# will be the Job opening #... But not until the ACT!opps are 100% customizable like the contact layouts.
So I use a work around for now by creating other fields.
I'm still trying to figure how to print a single opportunity when there are multiple opps for a single Contact/client
Cant do the lookups to single them out for printing?
No prob if there is only one opp per Contact.
Thank you all for the response. Cheers FSB

Remember, the Product name and Number are not part of the opportunity table, they are in the product table. I understand and agree that it would be nice to have them appear in the Opp List view, but that would be like having history information show up in the contact list view.
I suggest taking a look at Opportunity List Plus - http://www.contactlistplus.com/ACT-Addons-OpportunityListPlus.aspx

THe product area is extremely limited and has resulted in personal hair loss.
You should be able to add product fields to the opportunity layout. Adding the product COLUMN is counter-intuitive and is not helpful. You have to click the column and then open the dialog box. It only makes sense; if I pull up an opportunity, isn't it common sense that I want to see what is sold? Immediately? Or for instance, I have added a commission field to the product list. Makes sense right? Do all the calculation in that dialog box. Then I can't SEE the commission- again without opening the column and then the product box.
So I added a new field to the opportunity layout for commission instead. Having to get creative again for something that should be a gimme.
Please make the product area much more robust.

It is easy enough to create your own (work around) Product/Services fields and apply to the Opp Layout, it's just that you will also then have a lot more labor (hair loss)intensive Reports to modify or develop. You would also lose some of the very convenient automated calculations that occur. Right on, the Product Tab should be a part of the Opp Layout. The current process for handling this Product/Service eliment could be improved. It may work well enough for some, but is too limiting and cumbersome for many needs and can be like trying to drive a car with the brakes on to the user.. There is a better way.
I hope Sage can get er done. This very issue has been a real sticker reason for Recruiters & HR Professionals to opt out of using ACT!. But that's why I developed Fill-Staff 2010. Cheers - FSB
