How can I make certain customers on hold for email marketing?

How can I make certain customers on hold for email marketing?  we have an opt in opt out marketing approach and when customer s otp out we still need to store email so that in markeitng in the future we do not add again.

I look forward to your thoughts on how to achieve this.

Re: How can I make certain customers on hold for email marketing?

In my setup, I use a simple drop-down box labeled "Email Marketing" with "yes" or "no"  as options. Before I send out emails, I do a quick lookup for "Email Marketing" contains "yes" and send to that lookup result. If a customer asks to opt out, I simple change their option to "no".

I'm sure there's a variety of ways to do this, but this works for me.

You could create a field and segregate the contacts into groups based on whether they are opted in or out. The additional field would make most sense to me as a yes no field
