How To Show A Company Is A Division On Contact Detail Screen

Is it possible to display somewhere on the Contact Details screen that their company is the division of a mother company?

 

In companies view that is pretty easy, when clicking on the mother company but not on the division.  Any ideas?

 

I personally work in the contact details screen all day and jump to companies to make sure I've captured information that will be needed in a report at a later date.

 

I could add "Division of ABC Company" in ID/Status, but that means there will be a plethora of ID/Status entries over time.

 

Any ideas?

On the contact screen you have a Group / Company tab.

 

Open and change it to show Companies and Divisions.

 

You can now add the company for the division of the company that your contact is a pert of.

 

Now when you go to contact record that tab would display the main company information you have linked it to as well as the hyperlink against the Company Name at the top of the contact record to the division. Does mean having the tab on view and also means having to manually add them.

You can also Customise Columns and add "Division", "Hierarchy Level" or "Has Divisions"

Mike, knowing that companies is also a flat file, I never searched for any relationship.  Thanks for identifying Hierarchy Level and Has Divisions.  For a few of my accounts, that will be helpful moving forward.  Can I really claim I go back to Act Version 1 and never picked up on this before?

Customise Cols in the List views can show things you never knew you wanted :-)
