How Can I Copy Group Membership

Act Ver 10

Is there any way to copy one group membership and make a new group membership without creating new contact records?

Thank you responding.

Re: How Can I Copy Group Membership

Not sure what you're trying to do.

Create a new Group with the same members as another Group? This would depend on if they are dynamic or static members.

Maybe if you add a bit more detail on what you're trying to do

Re: How Can I Copy Group Membership

OK, here's an example ...

I've created group 1 that has 10 members.

I want to create group 2 that has the same 10 members plus 2 more.

It can also be done in reverse.  I have a group with 12 members and I want a sub-set of only 10 of the 12.

Does that make sense?

Thanks Mike for your help.

Re: How Can I Copy Group Membership

Select the Group | Create Lookup

Create the new Group and add the Current Lookup

Re: How Can I Copy Group Membership

Wow!  That was simple.

I appreciate your response.  As you may have seen from my questions, they are very basic, but sincere.  I'm moving from 12 years of Goldmine and I'm sure I'm still holding on the way I did things before.

I have several other questions still pending if you are so willing to look.  Just look for user "jnpurdy".

If not, thanks and I appreciate your taking the time for taking time on this question

ACT! is a lot easier to use... Goldmine looks good on paper if you look at a feature list, but the features can be so buried that you just give up.
