I'm having issues with a report - History Time Spent. - Act V.2008
The report sorts by contact.
However, the results from the Conatct History sub-report do not appear in date order, neither ascending or descending.
I tried inserting a section into the contact history sub-report and requesting it to sort by date.
This didn't work.
I would appreciate any help.

Do you mean within the history for each contact or are you referring to globally for the entire report?

I've tried modifying this report in ACT Version 2011 and it works fine.
I added a CH date section to the sub report and sorted it in descending order.
Dates within the individual contact history sorted to date order.
perhaps it's a version issue with ACT 2008 that it isn't working ?
Are ACT! report templates backward compatible do you know ?
I could try and run the report designed in ACT2011 in ACT 2008.

The ACT! reports haven't change to any significant degree since ACT! 2006. In fact I have report templates that I created with ACT! 2006 that continue to work with ACT! 16. I think that you will find that if you check the report you modified in ACT! 2008 that you chose the wrong set of fields for the sort field in the section that you added. That would cause the sort to have no effect.
