History - Drop Down List

How do you edit the History Drop Down List list in version 2006 ? Version 2000 allowed for edit.
ACT support told me on 2/18/08 that there is not way to make changes to this list.

Hi,

You actually edit the History Regarding through the Schedule Activity Window.

Go to Schedule/Call (any activity will work)
Click on the Drop Down for the Regarding Field
Then click on 'Edit List Values'
Whatever you add to this list will also show under the Regarding list when recording a history.

I may have used the wrong terms. 

 

I am trying to add a specific result to the "other" activity.  I think I may have indicated that I was looking at "regarding".  For example, if I want to use "other" the only "result" has to do with eMail, FAX, Letter, or attachments.  I would like to add other descriptions such as "IM Exchange" or my favorite, "Useful Informatioin".

 

Did this clarify my question any, or am I going around in circles?

You would need to first add them a custom activity types. Schedule | Manage | Activity Types
