Hello. I have a 3 person ACT setup (v. 2009 - (11.0)) where I am the primary ACT database and the Administrator. My 2 remote users sync to my DB via our VPN connection. This works well and they sync to their desktop computers. We would like to install ACT on their Laptop computers and before they leave the office, have them sync to their local DB and again when they return.
They have "Manager" rights and evidently cannot create the sync sets or remote database. Would this work if they had Admin roles?
Would it be better for me to create secondary remote databases for their laptops and have them sync both their desktop computers and the laptop installations to my primary installation of ACT? Would this work?
Thanks. - Dave.

Yes, you could just create secondary remote databases for each one off the master (not from their current remote database, this won't work). Doing so, would work just fine and does not require the purchase of additionals licenses.
