Hide screen layouts from users

Six users (4 wired, 2 remote synch), using 2009 Version 11.1.183.0, HF1. on a Windows 2003 SP2 server. All PC's are XP2 Pro SP3.

I have made 4 different screen layouts, each with different visible fields which corresponds with different levels of employees (inside sales, outside sales, administration, etc.). Regardless of who logs in to the database all layouts are available to be visible. How can I limit which layouts a user can view?

Re: Hide screen layouts from users

Protecting layouts can be tricky, but can be done with network permissions.

HOWEVER, this isn't secure as users can always see the fields in the List View.

To properly prevent users from seeing specific fields, you'll need the Premium version of ACT! as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
