Hey guys probably some baisc stuff for you here but bare with me as im a beginner at this....

Hey guys probably some baisc  stuff for you here but bare with me as im a beginner at this. I have a new copy of sage Act Pro and a new copy of instant accounts. I am trying to intergrate them both  together so that i can imprt all my contact details but not only that so that i can invoice from Act too. I have tried integrating it through Act but it is always askling for the accounting applicaiton username and password o which i havent set one i dont think nor can i find it anywhere. Can anyone shed any light on this and also it says in a not above that (we reccommend you create a user within your accounting aaplication) is this because it becomes unstable if so whats my best way to sort all of this im very very lost at this moment in time sorry for the noobie questions

kindest regards,

Hello Shamrodian and welcome to the Act community.

From what I am reading, it looks like you have a program called "Instant Accounts".

You are wanting to move contacts from Instant Accounts to ACT and want to create invoices.

If I have the scenario correct, ACT! should be able to handle most of everything, but you will need Excel to create invoices.

Looking at "Instant Accounts", do you have the ability to export the content into either a CSV or Excel format?

From there you will then be able to import into Act!.  Just follow the prompts on the screen or use this knowledgebase article:

http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26828/kw/import%20into%20act

Regarding creating invoices or quotes see knowledgebase article:

http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13960/kw/how%20to%20create%20quote

Hope this helps.

Shamrodian,

Act! is not compatible with Sage Instant Accounts.

An alternative and I understand less than the cost of Instant Accounts in UK, is Sage One which we built an Act! integration for.  Refer http://www.xactsoftware.co.nz/xlaso

Hi Shamrodian,

We would suggest you look at the Sage/Act! integration 'AlphaLink' from Alphalogix at:
