Help with ACT 2010

ACT shows that it loads, but the only thing that can be seen are the 'Alarms'. It's not possible to get access to any contacts. Even the the Demo database won't load.

Re: Help with ACT 2010

I'm assuming this in only happening on a single machine.  Delete your preferences.  Here is an article on how to do this.

Re: Help with ACT 2010

If that doesnt work, you may try

close act!

Run ACTDIAG

select desiired db

select the 4? Rebuild options;  Rebuild Schema, security, ole, olev2, etc...

Re: Help with ACT 2010

These fixes didn't help. Any other ideas?

Also, running ole I got the following error:

Incorrect syntax near '.2'.

Hello jerryc222,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. When you rebuilt the preferences per the KB article link that "jonmklub" provided, did you follow the manual method in the bottom half of the article? This would involve renaming the "ACT Data" folder.

If this does resolve then it could be caused by the Welcome Page not loading. Follow the steps in this KB article to disable the Welcome Page: http://kb.Sagesoftwareonline.com/cgi-bin/Sagesoftwareonline.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2262...
