Help needed on installing ACT 2011 Pro on Windows 7 Computer

I have successfully installed ACT 2011 Pro on four WIndows XP computers and two Windows 7 computers - all the databases work fine. Last week I attempted installing ACT on 2 new computers which are running on Windows 7 and ACT will not work on the new computers. When I try to open a database the entire program freezes up, this is happens when I try to open a database which is on the server and the demo database. I have only done the SP1 Hotfix 1 on all the computers with ACT and have done that update to the new computers as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thank you!

Some things to try:

Run as administrator:

- close Sage ACT!

- right-click Sage ACT! icon > select 'Run as administrator'

Change 'Compatibility Mode':

- close Sage ACT!

- right-click Sage ACT! icon > select Properties

- click Compatibility tab

- enable Compatibility mode > select XP SP3 > click OK

- double-click Sage ACT! icon to attempt to open

Rename 'Home' Folder:

- Close Sage ACT!

- Browse to Sage ACT! installation folder (default C:\Program Files\ACT\Act for Windows

- Rename folder 'Home' (ex: 'Home - old')

- Attempt to open Sage ACT!
