Help! Cannot select opportunity Layout

I have ACT Pro 2011 installed on 7 computers with all manager roles. 5 of them are working like a charm. 2 of them have this problem:

 

-when accessing Opportunies tab, I do not have the Select layout option in the toolbar so I cannot select my customize layout (I tried adding this button without success)

-also, when trying to access opportunities from a company, I see them but when I click, I get these messages:

 

ACT will reset the filters to their defautl settings. Do you want to continue? (nothing then happened) OR

Specified arguments was out of the range of valid values.

 

Please help! My launch training is tomorrow AM. Everything else is working fine, including selecting custom layouts for contacts and companies...but not oportunities

Nevermind! I was able to finalize the setup loggin under a different name. Then logging back with the 2 problematic users, the problem was gone...go figure.
