Help! 2008 Premium

[ Edited ]

In Vista home Premium and I'm ready to bang my head into a wall:
Act! Premium was working fine until I got this message:
Access to the path: C:\Users\"User Name"\AppData\Roaming\ACT\ACT For Windows 10\DependentDlls.xml
is denied.
I don't even find a Roaming file under AppData, only local. The program won't run and reinstall proved ineffective. Anybody?
Thanks---

Hello,
I would first try turning off User Account Control in Vista (from the User Accounts function in your Control Panel). Will require you to reboot your machine.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

Thanks for your reply Grieg!

Tried that and then tried starting ACT after restart but got the same message?

I'm helpless.

Re: Help! 2008 Premium

This would indicate yor IT administrator has configured Roaming Profiles and this is not supported under ACT!

Re: Help! 2008 Premium

Thanks Travis but there is no IT admin. Just me.

Anything? I am really stuck!
