Hard Drive Crash - Help!

My hard drive crashed.  I am hoping that our IT guy can recover the ACT! files.  I, sadly, have not done a backup recently.  Is there any hope if I can get the ACT! files (our IT guy is pretty good).  What should I do?

Note:  I was able to unpack the remote database and create a new ACT! database, but since I am (was) the owner, I am not sure what to do, since there currently is no "owner" of the database (that computer is out of the picture).

Any suggestions?

PS:  I have ACT!2007.

Re: Hard Drive Crash - Help!

Which drive crashed? The main or the remote?

What version of ACT! (the full build from Help | About)?

Re: Hard Drive Crash - Help!

The main hard drive crashed on my PC.  The remote database is still good, and my assistant can still work with the information, but cannot synchronize.

I have ACT! 2007 (9.0) Version 9.0.1.162

Thanks!

If your IT guy can't properly recorver your Publisher database, you can restore it from the Subscriber by following the instructions in this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/68sfdd
