HELP! Problems with adding PRODUCT/SERVICES!

Hello,

 

I have  ACT! Pro 2012 Version 14.0.572.0, and I am having a lot of problems with adding products and services in opportunities area. I have read other threads on here and tried the different suggested advice, but it still has not worked. Would you be able to provide me with anymore information on how to fix this? I see that it has been a bit of a problem since early 2012, and was wondering if there was any fixes to this bug. I would greatly appreciate the help! I have been trying to figure it out forever and it is stopping me from running reports on the opportunities area. Thank you in advance! Smiley Happy

You failed to mention WHAT Problems? Specifically?

Do you have the most current version of ACT!2012? Service Pak1 ?

My work has Sage ACT! Pro 2012 Version 14.0.572.0, Hot Fix 2 and the problems I am having are that it will not let me add any products and services. The buttons are there to add them but they are grayed out and will not let me click on "add new". I did the reset and played with the tabs and so on, and it still has not worked.

All users must be on same current version/build

You should all have same version - 2012 Pro scvpak1 hotfix5  on all users/pc's.Smiley HappyFSB

Valerie,
Assuming your user name has authority to update opportunities (not Restricted), it sounds like you are working with a 'Closed' opportunity. You cannot change the products/services in a closed opportunity. You would need to change the status to Open to update the items.

You can test this by creating a new opportunity (call it Test Something) and attempt to update the Products/Services.
