HELP!! Act Keeps closing

HELP!! Act Keeps closing

Act pro 2011 keeps closing without any warnings or errors.  Mainly when I try to write and email.  When I start Act I have to go to task manager right click on ACT and maximize in order to even see it.  Please help....anyone?

if it's in the task manager, it may not be closed.  Does it appear on the system tray?  what if you chose ALT+TAB do you see an ACT Icon? 

 

If you do, select ACT by holding down ALT and tapping Tab until  ACT is highlighted.

 

Then press ALT and the SPace bar

 

Maximize ACT.

 

Just a hunch, but that may be it.

It completely closes.  I am unable to see it in my task manager.

I'm experiencing the same issue with ACT Premium 2011.  I've been combing through the community site and knowledge base looking for an answer, but can't seem to find anything.  Very frustrating.

The issue of having to go to Task Manager and maximize Sage ACT! could be that the Sage ACT! window is displaying outside of the monitor viewing area.  Try the steps in this article to move it back: KB Article 23807

Its not just on another screen though.  It completely dies.  I cant even change my database without the program completely dieing.

I can guess.

 

Manually check for windows updates and apply as needed. also check your Optional items as once in recent past, microsoft put the needed items in the optional list.

No luck?

Start click on Computer, rite click on c-drive / properties and schedule a scan disk / reboot pc.

No Luck?

Check your current version of ACT / Help / About, then

Check the ACT website to insure you have most recent service pak / hotfixes

close ACT / Start / Run / ACTDIAG, select desired database, rite click on the button for that db and run the DB Rebuild options.

Yeah, have already tried all that... Even have done an uninstall and reinstall but it still is occurring. I know it's a local issue since it's only happening on one terminal and the db is stored on a server and accessed by multiple terminals. I'm stumped...
