Groups/Companies

When I click on the Groups/Companies tab and then try to add Contact to Group - ACT! appears to freeze up for no apparent reason.  This just started happening.  I already had three contacts from the same company and wanted to add a fourth.  The other three are fine but the new one just appears to freeze up.

Does anyone have an idea of what to do to fix this issue?  Thanks.

Re: Groups/Companies

I'd use ACTDIAG and do a database repair.

Failing that - what version of ACT!?
Does it happen with every contact and every group?

Re: Groups/Companies

I'm not sure how to do ACTDIAG database repair.  It does this on all contacts.  It didn't ever do this before.  I now have to go to groups to add and delete contacts.

My ACT version is 9.0.1.162

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Re: Groups/Companies

Windows Start button | Run | Type ACTDIAG | click OK.

Re: Groups/Companies

I did this and there was nothing wrong.

When I click on Add Contact To Group it appears the button clicks but nothing happens.  Then to get out of that screen I have to push Esc on my key board before anything will work again.

Any ideas?

I know and I did that after reading the posts but have found no answer for my problem.  Please see my other post.  Thanks.

Re: Groups/Companies

Yes it does the same thing in the demo database.

Re: Groups/Companies

Then it's most likely not a database corruption.

Are you sharing ao a LAN? If so, do other users have this problem?

Either way, I'd suggest a reinstall of ACT!
