Google calendar not syncing back to Act! calendar

Long time Act! user, first time to post a question: I'm using 2013 & the Google calendar sync is no longer syncing back to the Act calendar (from Act to Google calendar appears to work). I had a problem a few days ago with duplicate contacts between Act & Google. Read a post telling me to clean up duplicates within Act & delete contacts from Google & then re-sync (had to delete old metadata files for it to work). This resolved the contacts issue, but the calendar sync isn't functioning. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I always try to avoid sync'ing data from Google ... it causes far to many issues - duplications and/or data loss. Really not worth it.

That said, you might try deleting the activities in Google and the Metadata files and sending them from ACT! again

If you need to sync both ways, don't then sync Google to a mobile device (this makes the issues much worse) and keep really good backups
