Getting forms to automatically populate information in ACT

We use forms every day in the office that I work in and it seems counter productive to me to have to input it on the form and then re enter it into act. I was curious if there's a way using programs like infopath or adobe where I can program a button or maybe there's some add software where all I have to do is push a button and it streamlines the information. Interested on your thoughts.

Re: Getting forms to automatically populate information in ACT

Depending on how much flexibility you have with the forms, what you could do it put the information into ACT! first and then run a report (probably using Crystal Reports) with a report template that mimics the look of your form.  That way you only have to enter it once.  It's pretty amazing how close you can make the form look with Crystal Reports - I once did a six page invoice for physiotherapists to submit to auto insurance companies and you really couldn't tell the difference between the two, the template looked just like it.
