Getting an error for Act when booting up, but Act seems to be working ok.

"act.ui,actapplication", name = "" Exception message is: The current build operation (build key Build Key[Act.UI.ActApplication, null]) failed: Access to the path is denied. (Strategy type BuildPlanStrategy, index 3)

I've got a user who is getting this error when first logging into Windows, but then so far Act seems to be running fine after that.  I haven't had any luck searching for this error.  How do I find out what path the app is erroring out on?  Maybe it's a network drive that they don't have access to until they sign into the VPN.

The new ACT! registration system produces that problem. On certain dates ACT will want to renew a text file in \programdata\act and a normal Windows user might not have sufficient rights to do that in that very folder. you will have to add the "modify" right for Standard users:

Thank you for the response.  I tried this with my user yesterday but we are still getting errors after giving her account full rights to the ACT directory and rebooting.

Then give this a try:
Delete all files and the folder marked in b.m. screenshot.
ACT will then prompt you to register again.
HTH.
