I use ACT 2007 (9.0) and removed the old administrator. I thought I changed my status
from "standard" to "admiinistrator" to replace him but now my status is still "standard" as I can't
delete contacts or remove names from the Task List. When I click on the Tools tab, the
"Manage Users" key is not functional. (I really need that delete contacts ability or the program will bloat.
Can I do anything to get more permissions? to get administrator status?

If you can not access the 'Manage Users' function then you will not be able to change your user rights.
Unless there is still a Administrator in the database, who's username and password you can figure out/guess.
I hear Sage can offer a password decode service but im not sure how you would go about obtaining this service.
