Using Windows 7
Macbook pro w/retina (2014)
Fonts are huge and tiny and not uniformely distributed on ACT! database pages.
I have used ACT for over a decade. The ACT folks assured me that if I got a macbook pro with retina, that running Parallels would work fine with ACT - not really, it turns out.
There have been a number of problems - and, after buying a $2K laptop, $80 on Parallels, and a bunch of other stuff, I am concerned I was misled by ACT!. I'm hoping not.
Here is the problem: I was able to get MY old database onto the macbook after a lot of research (directory errors, etc, etc). Now that it is on the computer, when I run ACT! all of the fonts are crazy. Tiny fonts in parts of the database display (GUI), and gigantic on other parts.
Please, please, pease can someone help? It has been a long, long road - and for it to not work out will make me cry hard.
Thanks in advance for the hassle

The response is much appreciated. All good questions. I ended up giving in and calling Parallels. The tech logged onto my computer and had to reinstall parallels - then he was able to get me to 96dpi.
Again, many thanks.
