Filtering Opportunity Reports

Hi Guys--

I need help with filtering and running the Opportunity Report--"Pipeline Report and Products by Sales Process and Stage." The method that I have been using is the following:   I create a Lookup by going to the Opportunities Tab, then Lookup Tab, then Advanced Query (Type=Opportunities, Field Name=Opportunity Name, then Contains, Value=the specific opportunity name), then Replace Lookup.  Then I go the Reports, Opportunity Report, then open the above Pipeline Report.  And the Preview shows ALL the Opportunity Names -- not just the specific opportunity name in the Lookup.  Help!!

I know this can be done because I have a copy of the report run off by a former employee.

I would so appreciate any help someone could provide.

Thank you.

Re: Filtering Opportunity Reports

The only filter for that report is date range. Estimated close date for open opportunities and actual close date for closed opportunities

Re: Filtering Opportunity Reports

Roy--

Thanks for responding.  But I have a copy of the same Pipeline report, filtered by Opportunity Name and Product Name, that was created by a previous employee here.

Is there any way that I can edit a template or create a subreport to do this?

Thanks a bunch!
