Yes, I just converted from 2003 to 2010. So what? (Frankly, I would've kept 2003 still if it worked on Win7)
Anyway, the database is about 4,000 contacts, a lot of groups, a little bit of notes, and that's it.
The 2003 database had 27 files, totalling 35 Meg - and I thought it was bloated.
The converted 2010 database has ADF of 105 Meg plus ALF of 5 Meg - 3 times the size!
And this is single-user database, sync disabled, no documents embedded.
Is it normal to have such huge increase in size? I'm a little scared if this monster will eat up all the PC resources denying resources from other apps. Also, whether the performance be acceptable if I upgrade to 3-user sharing.
Any easy way to reduce the size?
