I have a macro that can capture text on ACT! layouts and trigger it "to do" something.
However, thanks to Sage software's careful planning of it's own software, it won't work.
For example, in "groups" when I click on something in the Group Tree, nothing happens.
Why didn't ACT! think about this and allow us to have programs or applications "trigger" something else with the click on the Group Tree?
Really kind of sad. I wanted to have a small "list box" open up in a small area with the list off all files associated with the "name of the Group"
I don't understand why this company doesn't think about these things. They are so many small things this company has missed. I can't understand. They are so small and probably would cost them nothing to implement them.
When you select something in the group tree, a change event should be triggered in the Group.
There are some samples floating around showing how you can subscribe to the OnChange event. if you want to do that from a Plugin, it is much easier to do than if you want to do that from a Custom Control (both are possible though)
Xavier's training PPT has a sample that works with Contact change you may want to adapt.
