Hello All -
I have a client using Act! 2009 and Peachtree Complete Accounting 2009. We have installed the Act! Link for Peachtree, but noticed when Data Mapping customers and vendors from Peachtree to Act!, the Customer ID field from Peachtree is unavailable to select for mapping back to Act!.
Peachtree Tech. Support said this was purposely done by the developers, and suggested to use one of the 5 User Defined Fields in Peachtree, export the Peachtree Customer (and then Vendor) data to Excel, copy the Customer ID field into the UDF, import the data back into Peachtree and then map that UDF to a field to the Contact Record of Act!. A novel idea, but 1.) the customer uses all 5 Peachtree UDFs, and 2.) When entering a new customer in Peachtree, the user would hv to reenter the Customer ID in the selected UDF (or if adding a new record in Act!, the UDF field would be synched over to Peachtree but the user would still hv to manually enter in the info into the Customer ID field in Peachtree).
Can anyone think of an alternate solution to the dilemma?
Many Thanks in Advance,

Please make sure you post this to Peachtree's On-Line Community as well.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
