Field-Level Security (defaults)

Recently upgraded from ACT 09 to ACT 12.  Found when in an Opportunity, there were several fields 'grayed' out that would not allow us to enter a total or information.  When clicking on 'field security', found it was listed as 'read only' with no other drop down options to choose from.  I am listed as the administrator and I 'locked' the database prior to trying to change the security level.  I just don't know what else to do.  Help wanted...Sheila

Hello Sheila,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. There are some Opportunity fields that cannot be manually edited as they are system fields that are updated or calculated by other fields. These include the Total, Weighted, Gross Margin, and Days Open fields.
