Exporting Database

I have an ACT 2008 database that was setup incorrectly.  Rather than everything being setup under contacts it was put in as Companies.  Customer support has said that I can export everything except the Company notes and documents.  What I would like to do is have everything copied so that I can import it into a new database correctly.

If you're OK with just getting the field data (names, phone, e-mail, address, etc.) you could go to the Company List View, add in the fields you want (or just add all of them) and use the Export to Excel button.

can someone point me in the direction of instructions to export my database (contact files) and calendar to outlook.

What version of ACT! are you using? And what version of Outlook?

There's no easy answer. One possibility would be to use a third party exporter to export the data to ACT! 6 format and then convert it back to ACT! 2008. I don't know how they would handle the company data. Here is the link for the exporter.
