Export To Excel Help!

I need to export contacts from ACT to an excel file. I haven't been able to load the database, is there anywhere else I could go to have these contacts exported to a excel file? Thanks any suggestions would help.

Why haven't you been able to load the database? Is it damaged?
What version of ACT!?

Re: Export To Excel Help!

I was using an ACT 2012 Trial. I kept getting an error saying "the given key is not present in the dictionary".

Re: Export To Excel Help!

Do you have the ALF also?
Do you just want the contact fields or do you need notes, history, activities, etc?

Yes I do have the ALF file as well, I'm looking just for the contact fields.

Thanks

Re: Export To Excel Help!

Is the error you posted the "exact" error? There are some that are similar

At what point do you get the error?

Re: Export To Excel Help!

Can you open the demo database?

This may be an indication of corruption within the database or it's connection to the Microsoft SQL Server service.  Try the following:

- Click Windows Start

- XP > select Run, Vista/Win 7 > use Search field

- enter 'actdiag' > press Enter key

- in Actdiag > select Databases > Database List

- left click box to left of database name (to highlight the line)

- right click same box > select Detach Database

- launch Sage ACT! to reattach to SQL
