Export Questions

Hello,

I am currently creating a revamped database for our company. I would like to test field behaviors before it goes live. I would like to copy the old database records into the new database. The old database will remain active. My question is; when I export the data from the old database, does it make a copy or does it wipe out the information? If it wipes the info, how should that be handled to continue use of the old while the new is awaiting go live?

Thanks

-W

Re: Export Questions

From the old db, you can perform a File/Export  or from New db, you can perform file/Import.

Before Making major changes, remember to Take PROPER ACT! Database Backups by performing;

ACT! / File / Backup db  and Backup Personal Files. Take Daily Backups.

This link is FREEWARE by me,  to help you organize your ACT! backups
