Errors - No Longer an Admin????

A few days ago I noticed that I get the following screenshots when I log in (it says "A Updating Database lock has been placed on this database" When I click OK, the databse runs like normal.  However, when I click on Define Fields, it says it is locked by an administrator.  I am the administrator.  I checked to ensure that, and i am.

When I called ACT, they would not help me because I am on Windows 7.

Any ideas??

Another thing you can check is to see if the database is locked in ACT! Diagnostics:

- From the Windows Start menu, type actdiag in the Search box

- When ACT! Diagnostics opens, click Databases, then Database List

- When the database list comes up, highlight your database and look in the "Lock" column to see if it is locked

- If it is, then right-click on the database and select Unlock Database

- Close ACT! Diagnostics and see if this resolves the issue

I have to make a guess based on how Vista works. Try right clicking on the icon that you use to launch the ACT! program and choose Run As Administrator. In Vista if the UAC is turned on, it may say you are an administrator but you won't be running as an administrator. Gotta love it.
