Error resolution of dependency failed.

Tried the Run Administrator and that didn't work.

Can't try manually to rebuild ACT because I can't open to back up my database.

Couldn't find; Windows Vista/Windows 7: C:\Users\{User_Name}\AppData\Roaming\ACT\ACT Data      so that I could delete the dependent dlls.xml file.

Hello Norm2,

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Online Community!

You can get to the AppData folder by:

- Click on Windows Start button

- Enter '%appdata%' in the Search field

- Press Enter key

- Continue to open the appropriate folders

Reference article: KB Article 25865

This is normally fixed very easily by deleting your preferences using the ACT! Diagnostic Tool.

Close ACT!

Click on Windows Start button and type ACTDIAG in the Run or Search box and hit Enter.

Click on Tools> Delete Preferences

Restart ACT!

If this doesn't work, you will need to follow the KB above.

Good luck.

I am running into the same issue. I continue to receive the resolution of dependancy failed. Where do I begin to rebuild the database?
