Error on re-install on software

this is the error message I received:

 

SYSTEM.ARGUMENTEXCEPTION: REQUESTED VALUE 'DASHBOARDS' WAS NOT FOUND. AT SYSTEM.ENUM.PARSE(TYPE ENUMTYPE,STRING VALUE, BOOLEAN IGNORECASE) AT ACT.FRAMEWORK.SUPPLEMENTALFILES.WORKGROUP.RESTORE(STRING ZIPFILE,STRING PASSWORD, PROGRESSEVENTHANDLER PROGRESSHANDLER) AT ACT.FRAMEWORK.ACTDATEBASE.ACTDATABASEMANGER...

 

Has anyone else ever delt with this error?

Because my computer died, and I had to re-install my Operating System. The error appears right away, once I try to restore the database.

So, it's not on the software install, but the restore of the backup?

 

Are you doing a Restore_As?

 

How big is the backup zip file?

 

What version of ACT! (the full build from Help | About)?

Doing a restore as, and have tried as just a restore

 

The size of the zip file is 926 bytes

 

2008 (10.0) Version 10.0.1.199

I apologize, the zip file is 27.9 MB (29,278,802 bytes)

Ok... try a Backup | Restore | Restore_As of the demo database to see if it's the backup file or the application

Hi, justalic,

 

I noticed you marked a post as a solution to your question. That post doesn't appear to solve the problem. To change the marked solution, you can go to Options on the upper right of the post you marked as a solution. Then, under Options, choose Unmark as Accepted Solution.
