Error When Restoring Remote Database - ACT Premium for WorkGroups 2006

I created a remote database following the procedures exactly as shown in the user manual.  I then try and restore the database using "unpack and restore remote database" at the remote server.  The process runs for a few minutes and the comes up with an error "Device Activation Error J:\ACT\Irvineremote.adf may be incorrect.  This is a file that was created during the restore process and when I look in the folder it is there.  Any help would be appreciated

Is the J drive a local hard drive or external?  ACT! requires database to be restored to a local hard drive.

It is a local drive, just a network drive mapping, would unpacking on the C drive maybe solve my issue?

Yes, try unpacking to the C drive.
